To test the server and database connection for WMS, select the Test
Connection button in the Data Link Properties screen.
5. If the database is properly setup and connected to WMS, the following
message appears: Test Connection Succeeded. This means that the
application can find the database and connect to it; and when you open
WMS, the information found in this database will be included in the
application forms, history, and reports.
6. If the test connection fails, it is usually because the database cannot be
located or the server name or logon information is wrong. If this is the
case, the database may not have been created during installation, or the
name is different than the one entered. Or, the server connection infor-
mation to the database is entered incorrectly. We suggest that you con-
tact your network administrator for help in determining this database
connection information for the WMS application.
